Let’s start off in 1884 with a young man named Louis Brandt, he came from a little Swiss village and had his own workshop. His aim in life was to make the best, most faultless watches possible. Being a determined businessman with so much passion he succeeded and became a worldwide name throughout Europe.
When Louis Brant passed away his son stepped up and took over the family business and continued his fathers legacy. Eventually the Brandt brothers released their first omega watch in 1894. The watch was made so that any repairs or parts could be replaced by any watchmaker. The watch was a massive success which led to the brothers renaming their company and it became one of the most popular manufacturers in the history of Switzerland, Omega watces was born.
The Omega You Know Today
You may have heard of The Sea Master and The Speed Master these are two of the biggest associated with the Omega brand. Both watches are used for amazing things and go far beyond fashion and keeping time.
In 1948 The Sea Master was launched with its amazing features, designed to withstand force altitude and used by divers to explore underwater, The Sea Master is a timeless classic used by characters such as James Bond and can withstand an assignment.
The Speed Master aka The MoonWatch was a big hit with Nassa and was approved by them as the only watch advanced enough to be used for endless space journeys such as Apollo 11 in 1969.
